Helen is a small Bavarian-style town in North Georgia — about ninety minutes north of Atlanta. The village is a great destination for families visiting the Atlanta area, offering tubing on the Chattahoochee River, panning for gold, German restaurants, and many, many retail therapy opportunities.
The Georgia Mountain Coaster has been in operation for about a decade, and consists of over a mile of track through the forest overlooking the village.
