Elephanta Caves, located on Elephanta Island in Mumbai, India, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. These ancient caves date back to the 5th to 8th centuries and showcase magnificent rock-cut temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. Carved out of solid basalt rock, the caves feature intricate sculptures, exquisite reliefs, and stunning architectural designs. The main attraction is the colossal Trimurti sculpture, depicting the three aspects of Lord Shiva—Brahma, Vishnu, and Mahesh. The cave complex also includes other shrines, courtyards, and a grand hall.
